Daily English practice for Primary 4–6 and Secondary 1–4

A structured learning system built for Singapore families: vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension in one place, with parent dashboards, friends and playdates, and a companion that keeps students coming back. Content is organised by band so your child always practises at the right level.

What makes this system different?

Many apps throw random quizzes at learners. Ashton English follows how Singapore schools actually progress: separate word banks and exercise banks per level, spaced repetition so words stick, and comprehension that mirrors classroom skills — not just multiple-choice trivia.

Vocabulary

Level-matched word banks with spaced-repetition flashcards, fill-in-the-blank practice, audio, and optional Chinese hints.

Grammar

Editing, cloze, and transformation exercises aligned to your school band — from simple sentences in Primary 4 to exam-style drills in Secondary 4.

Comprehension

Short passages with auto-graded questions that build literal, inferential, and vocabulary-in-context skills step by step.

Companion rewards

Earn coins and care for a virtual pet as you study — a gentle motivator that turns daily practice into something to look forward to.

Friends & playdates

Study solo, connect safely with classmates

Ashton English is not an open chat room or leaderboard. Friends link up by code, interact through their learning companions, and stay within limits you set. Primary 4–6 friend requests require parent approval by default (parents can turn this off or require approval for secondary students too); daily social actions are capped so playdates stay a small, positive part of the day.

Friend codes

Connect with classmates using a simple share code. Primary students need parent approval by default; parents can change this for any child.

Creature playdates

Send treats, compliments, and high-fives; share accessories or help water a friend's garden — light, positive interactions between study sessions.

Word gifting

Gift a word you've mastered to a friend. It lands in their learning queue, and you both earn a bonus when they master it.

Badge showcase

Visit a friend's vocabulary badge showcase and leave encouraging reactions as they progress through the word mastery levels.

Students open Friends from their dashboard. Parents manage social settings, approve requests, and review recent activity from the parent portal.

For students

Build confidence, a little every day

Whether you are in Primary 4, Primary 5, or Primary 6 or Secondary school, your review queue is tailored to you.

  • A short daily session matched to your school level — no random words from other years.
  • Hints, explanations, and optional Chinese help when you are stuck.
  • Clear progress on vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension from your dashboard.
  • Rewards and companion care that celebrate consistency, not cramming.
  • Friends and playdates from your dashboard — connect with classmates in a safe, parent-supervised way.

For parents

Stay informed without hovering

You see progress and control the pace — from Primary 4 foundations through Secondary 4 exam preparation.

  • Create child accounts and set the correct school band (Primary 4–6 or Secondary 1–4).
  • Control daily review limits so practice stays manageable.
  • See exactly what was reviewed, scores, and trends — filtered to your child's level.
  • Browse vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension libraries before your child sees them.
  • Approve friend requests, view your child's friend list and social activity, and set daily social limits.
